This series of abstract light paintings by artist Madeleine Farley is inspired by Rorschach’s inkblot test. His psychological test sought to measure aspects of personality. The way the subject deciphers these pictures demonstrates their character. The human tendency is to associate unknown images, shapes or form with something familiar to the observer thereby giving meaningful explanation or interpretation. People see things differently which is at the heart of the Rorschach test. These images are a homage to Rorschach and mark their one-hundred-year anniversary.
